A BNP members reply

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you on behalf of Gary Raikes the leader of the British National Party in Scotland to explain a little about our party and dispel some of the misrepresentations you may have heard about us.

The British National Party has a long history and growing support in Scotland and has recently stood in the high profile Euro Elections (June 2009) and NE Glasgow Bye-Election (November 2009) with ever – increasing votes. We now have members from all ages and walks of life and are established as a credible mainstream alternative.
We have taken part in many local initiatives from clean-ups of vandalised parks to support for Army veterans’ charities (FEBA) in Scotland to name but a few.
Increasingly, numbers of voters are expressing apathy and discontent with the endless incompetence, lies, false promises and sleaze coming from the three parties that make up the Old Gang of Lib/Lab/Con. And who can blame them? Labour’s recent record has involved illegal wars, the banking bailout scandal, the MP’s expenses scandal, the sell-off of British industry; and the handover of our sovereignty and power to unelected and unaccountable politicians in Brussels, never mind the destruction of our heritage and culture posed by uncontrolled mass immigration! We can revitalize interest in British politics. The process should be more inclusive, with more democracy, not less. We would like to put the British people first in choices for their own country – after all it’s only fair.

The British National Party is a legal, moderate, and legitimate political party which is making progress in elections and now has over 100 Councillors, one London Assembly member, and two MEPs, including our chairman, Nick Griffin. Most of the people who attack the BNP are opposed to free debate and dislike both moral standards and Christianity, and have sought to marginalise our Christian heritage whilst paving a way for extremism from the Middle East. What is done to the BNP now could be done to Christians later. Christians would do well to stand up for the rights of the BNP to free debate and to seriously consider their views, which reflect up to 70% of the people of Britain, on many issues, including that of mass immigration.

We have a vast and growing raft of sensible and viable policies to lay before the voting public, far transcending the mythology that we are merely a political party only concerned with immigration. Our full manifesto and policies can be found at http://bnp.org.uk/policies/. We are interested in the future and how to improve the well being of our people based on the lessons from history. At the moment it seems we are becoming second class citizens in our own country, with rising crime, plus increasing poverty and taxes, for many becoming the social norm.

I can assure you the men and women of the British National Party are well meaning and decent individuals, only motivated by a love and admiration for the traditions of our land and who wish to build a decent community based on family values. There are a significant number of active Christians within our ranks and they will be making sure that churchgoers throughout the country are made aware of what the British National Party really stands for in the run-up to the General Election. The BNP has indeed warned about the danger Britons face from the growth of Islam on our shores. The vast majority of congregations agree with our stance on this and understand the long term social and ideological threat posed to Christianity. However, we have no quarrel with individual Muslims and have no wish to divide communities. The BNP is not anti-Jewish either. In fact we have one elected Jewish councillor (Pat Richardson – Epping Forest). The BNP has members in it who are Jewish, who are secularist, who are evangelical Christians, and who are Roman Catholics.

SNP

We are opposed to SNP separatism and believe Scotland is better off as part of the Union. Far from being impoverished; as part of Britain, Scotland is allocated more funding per person than any other part of the UK. We support the devolved parliament and all local decision making in Scotland. We would also support a referendum on Scottish independence.

We oppose totalitarianism in all its forms, both Marxist and Fascist. We believe this Labour government has implemented some of the most sinister laws attacking free speech and censorship this country has ever seen.

Anti – War

Our party is determined to re-awaken Britain’s manufacturing sector, dismantle its monopolies and generate green jobs. Our party’s foreign and defence policy of armed neutrality would see British forces withdrawn from global conflict theatres in which the country has no vital interests.

Supporting Our Troops – Bring them home now!

We believe Britain has no business intruding into the affairs of the Middle East in respect either of Israel or any other territory. Nor is it our business to support American foreign policy in the Middle East as the USA’s junior partner. We disagreed with and opposed involvement in Iraq long before the war started, together with the Green Party.

Please do not simply let the powers-that-be demonise us unfairly. Give our policies a chance and you will see they
are based on common sense and with the best intentions.

Yours faithfully,

Seventy five year old mugged

A pensioner is recovering after being robbed in a street attack.

The 75-year-old man was attacked in Eaglesham on Sunday night.

He was walking in Montgomery Square around 9.40pm when he was approached by three young males who assaulted him and stole his wallet, which did not contain any cash.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride where he was detained overnight before being discharged.

Detective Constable Natalie Carr, of Pollok police, said: “This was a particularly callous and cowardly attack which has left an elderly gentleman shocked and shaken.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this attack to come forward.”

As more reports like this start to appear along with the fact that if these criminals were caught they would just get a slap on the wrists is it any wonder more and more people are turning to the BNP, the party of real law and order!

Spot the difference

The policies of the both Labour and Tory parties on all the key issues are identical and there is so little to differentiate them that they may as well only put up one candidate per seat.

Issues upon which the Tory and Labour parties have identical policies:

1. Immigration: The Labour Party wants a points-based system to continue; the Conservative Party wants a “skill-based” immigration policy. The end-result is identical — more immigration into Britain.
The BNP wants a halt to immigration and the billions spent on this swindle diverted to training British people with the skills necessary for them to earn a decent living in their own country.
2. The EU: The Labour Party wants to remain in the EU, as does the Conservative Party. This multi-billion pound swindle is dangerous for Britain’s independence and is the cause of the “Human Rights Act” and other laws which are aimed at destroying Britain’s identity and sovereignty. Both Labour and Tories endorse these laws, unlike the BNP.

3. Foreign Aid: Both Tory and Labour parties seek to increase foreign aid from the current £8 billion to £13 billion per year, even though the Treasury is bankrupt and British people must go into further debt to achieve this goal. Only the BNP seeks to end this swindle.
4. The Afghanistan war: Both Tory and Labour support the continued illegal and immoral war in Afghanistan which has killed hundreds of our soldiers and costs billions of pounds. Only the BNP seeks an end to this madness.
5. The bankster swindle: Both Tory and Labour support the bailing out of private banksters with taxpayers’ money. The BNP opposes this, and says that Britain should be bailed out, not the banskters.
6. The asylum swindle: Both Tory and Labour support the continued asylum swindle which sees scroungers from across the globe parasite off the British taxpayer.
Only the BNP supports international law which says that asylum seekers only have the right of refuge in the first safe country bordering the one they are fleeing — and no other. The halting of the asylum swindle will also ensure that British people are once again given priority in the housing queue.
7. The selling off of Britains assets: Both Labour and Tory parties support the selling off of Britain’s national assets to foreign investors who then financially exploit the British taxpayers who created those institutions in the first place. This is why electricity costs have risen by 300 percent in some areas, and why train fares have increased by 200 percent in a matter of years.
Only the BNP is dedicated to restoring the commonwealth of Britain to its rightful owners.

With friends like these....

SCOTTISH Secretary Jim Murphy, has admitted that Gordon Brown "can be rubbish on tape and not good on telly", in a frank interview detailing the Prime Minister's shortcomings.
In an interview with the Holyrood magazine, a political monthly, Mr Murphy said Mr Brown's intellect did not come across on television because of the need for instant soundbites.

He said he hoped the British public would opt for Mr Brown's "substance", rather than the "airbrushed guy", David Cameron.

Mr Murphy, who is is leading Labour's election campaign in Scotland, said: "Sometimes he is rubbish on telly. In a world where the premium is on a soundbite, Gordon and his intellect do not fit into seven seconds."

Other Labour figures to note Mr Brown's problems include Lord Desai, who said recently: "Tony Blair was champagne and caviar; Brown is more like haggis."

Murphy's comments should not come as a surprise to anyone.

A few weeks ago, when Hoon and Hewitt attempted to bring down Brown's leadership, Murphy and Alexander were alleged to be two prominent members of the plot.

However, at that time, both Murphy and Alexander, who appeared to disappear off the face of the earth, were "unavailable for comment"?

Ministry of Defence pays consultant 'obscene' £84k bonus (while soldiers get a pittance)

A Ministry of Defence consultant has received an £84,000 bonus - as a reward for trying to save the wasteful department money.

The bureaucrat's 'good performance' payment is enough to cover a year's pay for five squaddies in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Critics said it was 'disgusting' the bonus was paid when resources should be focused on troops and equipment on the frontline.

The £84,563 payout was earned last year by a consultant hired by the MoD on a three-year contract to oversee the merger of two of the department's agencies.

Just five years ago the biggest bonus was £14,340. The average bonus for senior fixed-term appointees - staff brought in from the private sector or civil servants seconded from other departments - was £31,890 in 2008-09, compared to £7,243 in 2004-05.

For permanent MoD staff at senior civil service level, the average bonus for 2008-09 was £8,177 with a maximum payout of £15,000. However, two years earlier a mandarin pocketed £17,600.

The figures, released by Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth in reply to a Parliamentary question, provoked outrage as soldiers have accused the Government of putting lives at risk by scrimping on essentials including helicopters, radios and night goggles.

Rose Gentle, whose son Gordon was shot dead in Iraq in 2004, said: 'This is absolutely disgusting.

'The boys putting their lives in danger on the frontline, those who come back without limbs, often don't get that. The MoD needs to get its priorities straight.'

Lib Dem defence spokesman Willie Rennie said: 'People will find it hard to accept that highly paid officials deserve extravagant bonuses.

'These sums certainly leave a bad taste in the mouth when you consider we have frontline troops earning so little.'

Tory MP Patrick Mercer, a former infantry officer, said: 'I find this pretty unedifying when our forces are getting no bonuses whatsoever for fighting the Taliban. A rethink is needed somewhere along the line.'

The MoD said the consultant saved more than £5million by merging two departmental agencies.

A spokesman said: 'Exceptionally higher payments are made to senior individuals on fixed-term contracts. These are people brought into the MoD from outside the civil service to do a job over a set term.

'One individual responsible for saving the taxpayer over £5million was awarded £84,563. This payment needs to be seen in this context.'

The MoD has come in for severe criticism over its bonus culture after it emerged £287million has been spent rewarding civil servants since Britain went to war in Iraq.

Last year bonuses worth £52.9million were handed out and a £58.4million pot has been put aside for 2009-10.

Civil servants across all Whitehall departments shared bonuses of almost £130million in 2008-09.

Stop building on green belt land

Developers could be set to build on Eastwood's green areas, even those which have been previously protected.

That's the view of Newton Mearns councillor Jim Swift after East Renfrewshire Council voted to allow developers to propose plans anywhere on the green belt. Mr Swift said: "Developers will be swamping the council with proposals to built on vast tracts of our green belt.

One of the many reasons people should vote for the BNP is that we will not allow building on green belt land, this has been one of our policies for many years, rather than resulting to concreting over our countryside we would stop the uncontrolled mass immigration that is pushing the need to do so.

Answers to Murphys playground taunts

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

IN a recent article about the BNP targeting Jim Murphy's seat you quoted Murphy asking for the BNP to answer his asinine questions, something I am more than happy to do.

The BNP are not Fascist, to say we are is to display a staggering ignorance of political ideology.
The BNP are not anti-Jewish, we have Jewish members in fact one of our elected councilors is Jewish.
The BNP do not deny the holocaust, it is a matter of historic fact that millions of innocent people were killed on an industrial scale by the Nazis.
The BNP do not give salutes of any kind to suggest we do is childish, unlike Murphy we have absolutely no interest in a political ideology from thirties Germany.
The BNP do not hate immigrants and do not blame them for the failings of the old parties.
The BNP is not racist it is changing its constitution to allow people from all ethnic groups to be able to join us.

Murphy who attacks the BNP is the same man who supports the following, Iraq War, Afghan War, Privatising Royal Mail, Privatising Schools, Post Office Closures, Abolishing 10p Tax, Refusing Gurkha's entry to UK, Welfare Reform, Council Tax, Abolishing Scottish Regiments, De-regulation of the Banks etc.

Murphy is the extremist who flirted with the Revolutionary Communist party (RCP) during his student days and regarded members of Labour’s hard left Militant Tendency as TOO SOFT.
The RCP, an extreme Trotskyist group, defended the Serbs during the Bosnian conflict, despite evidence of widespread ethnic cleansing, demanded the withdrawal of British troops from Northern Ireland and claimed accusations of child abuse were designed to stigmatize working-class men.
According to the party’s ideology, the British working class could not be relied upon to mount a revolution because it had become "contaminated" by bourgeois values. Instead, its aim was to form the vanguard of a world revolution.
It refused to support the Labour party and regarded other left-wingers who worked within the democratic system as "reformist" lackeys.
The RCP campaigned for the abolition of the anti-terrorism legislation and for the immediate withdrawal of British troops from Northern Ireland.
Later it defended Serbs against accusations of mistreating Bosnian Muslims, despite evidence of concentration camps and mass graves.
For all the apparent distain he has for the BNP can I remind him that we did not invade two sovereign countries, we have not lined our own pockets with taxpayers cash, decimate our manufacturing base, wrecked a once balanced and prosperous economy, kept three and a half million people on benefits while importing four million unassimilated aliens, and implemented some of the most sinister laws attacking free speech and censorship this country has ever seen.

No that was his Party, it is him and his party who wage war that have blood on their hands and who are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslim men women and children not the BNP.

I look forward to raising these points with Mr. Murphy on the campaign trail.
